Once you’ve finished setting up the altar, you will begin working with the TwinStar using scrying. Begin in a comfortable, balanced position, preferably lotus or half-lotus.

Imagine yourself centered in Sol on the Tree of Life. (Make sure you have read the Hermeticism module first) We’re going to use the numbers method first. So there you are, centered in Sol, thumb ready to go.
Start by reaching with the tip of the thumb to Ain Soph Aur at the apex of the triangle and say “One”.
Go straight down to the left hand side of the triangle and say “Two”.
Run straight across to the right hand bottom of the triangle and say “Three.”.
Return all the way back to Ain Soph Aur and say “Dash.”.
Fall back to Chokmah (grey Sephirh) and say “Four.”.
Draw a line along the diagonal to the left through Tiphareth (yellow Sephira) to the bottom of the triangle and say “Five.”.
Shoot all the way up to Binah (black Sephira) and say “Six.”.
Run another diagonal line down right through Tiphareth to the bottom of the triangle and say “Seven.”.
The next line runs left through Yesod (purple Sephira) and Hod (orange Sephira) to the edge of the triangle, say “Eight”.
Run right through Tiphareth to the right edge of the triangle and say “Nine”. Return to Tiphareth (center) and say “Ten”.
You have now performed one half loop of the TwinStar meditation.
Reach all the way up to Ain Soph Aur again at the top of the triangle and say “One”.
Go straight down to the right hand side of the triangle and say “Two.”.
Run straight across to the left hand bottom of the triangle and say “Three”.
Return all the way back to Ain Soph Aur and say “Dash”.
Fall back to Binah (black Sephirah) and say “Four”.
Draw a line along the diagonal to the right through Tiphareth (yellow Sephirah) to the bottom of the triangle and say “Five.”.
Shoot all the way up to Chokmah (grey Sephirah) and say “Six”.
Run another diagonal line down right through Tiphareth to the bottom of the triangle and say “Seven”.
The next line runs right through Yesod (purple Sephirah) and Netzach (green Sephirah) to the edge of the triangle. Say “Eight”.
Run right through Tiphareth to the left edge of the triangle and say “Nine”.
Return to Tiphareth (center) and say “Ten”.
This is the second half loop of the TwinStar meditation.
So we’ve done one half loop, a second half loop and we’re now centered in Tiphareth.
Reach all the way to Ain Soph Aur and run a circle all the way around widdershins (counter-clockwise) until you reach Ain Soph Aur again.
While you are circling say A-V-M-N in four parts. (There’s a peculiarity in Hebrew where V (Vau) can represent U, O, F or W. It is pronounced AAAAH OHHHHHH MMMMMMM NNNNNNN.)
Now we are back in Ain Soph Aur and we are going to run a full triangular sweep widdershins.
A widdershins circle is always balanced by a widdershins triangle and vice versa for deosil.
Say A-H-V-H (ah hey oh ah), speaking A at apex, and the rest of the letters at each other quarter of the triangle, ending with the last H (ah) at apex once again.
Drop to Tiphareth and say “TAW”, then drop further through the bottom of the triangle, circle and everything else whatever there might be (TwinStar versions vary) and say “HAY” while doing so.
Our final action is a “float” back to Tiphareth from infinity. All of our other actions were asserting forward motion. The float is just a relaxing movement and it should feel good.
If you have trouble with scrying itself you can start by practicing tracing triangles by themselves, but much effort should be exerted to follow this meditation closely even if it takes some time in the beginning.
People always want to come along and do variations, and I applaud this, but I also think that it is important to understand principles so that their variations make sense and are rooted in something real. Sometimes it makes my job hard because I love to see what other people are coming up with, but when I am called upon to explain things how they are or how they go, I feel like I have a real responsibility to stick with the mainline facts.
